The writer Phylis Eisenstein convinced George R.R. Martin to add Dragons to his work of fiction , A Game Of Thrones. The dragons names are : Drogon, named after Khal Drogo, black with red markings. larger than his siblings. Rhaegal, named after Rhaegar Targaryen, green with bronze markings. Viserion, named after Viserys Targaryen, creamy white, with gold markings.

Dragons are believed to be intrinsically tied to magic and the seasons of the world. Since dragons became extinct from Westeros,  the power of magic dwindled and winters grew colder. Game Of Thrones continues to be terrifying, awe-inspiring, awesome , and the best thing  on television due to good writing, good acting and directing , and because of Dragons.
